This Is Post 1001!

numbers for freelance writersI have no idea what it means, if anything, but I just noticed that yesterday I hit 1,000 posts on this blog.

Like most blogs, this one has a “dashboard” that tracks statistics as well as letting me control various things here. (No, I don’t know what every item on that dashboard means but I seem to get along more or less okay anyway.)

That makes this the 1001st post. Sounds like a lot, even to me.

Of course, I haven’t done every single post. We’ve had some great guest posts, including those by now regularity appearing Helen Chang and Lori Widmer.

There are some other stats like the fact the Akismet plugin has protected this site from 36,560 spam comments. As we all know, some people have way too much time on their hands.

That’s you! That’s you taking time out of your busy writing day and participating in this writing community. Sharing your ideas, asking questions, complaining (not many of those) and just hanging out a bit.

Thanks so much for being there.

Celebrate with me and pat yourself on the back.
