Hi there. I’m currently writing a book that I’ve been working on since I was a kid. I would like to do some free lance writing until I sell my book. I don’t have much experience in blog posting or anything, but I have a very creative mind and I would love to contribute my word to the online community. Please help.

I was wondering if you do anything with APA style. I don’t mind writing my assignments but, I hate the task of formatting correctly? Gina

Gina, I’m not sure what you’re asking… APA is an academic style, right?

Hello There,

My name is Michelle and I’m a professional blogger.

I have over three years of experience writing for the web and have covered plenty of topics about Technology.

I noticed that you have a blog and was wondering if you would be interested in allow me to write relevant, useful topics about Technology related on your blog at no cost.

At this point in my writing career, I simply want to get more visibility for your writing and I will write for free as long as you are okay with me adding a small author bio section next to each blog post about myself.

Please let me know if you’re interested and if you’d like for me to submit a sample blog post for your approval.

Thanks a bunch,

Michelle

Michelle, if you look at the menu at the top of any page you’ll find a tab called guest post which will tell you what to do.

Hi, Anne, the About Writing Squared forum used to advertise that it had $1/word market listings. I was looking this morning and saw that it wasn’t mentioned. Is this something that I would no longer be able to get if I subscribed? Thanks, Jim

I am looking for information on how much to pay someone who finds writing gigs for me. She is a publicist, promoting her business contacts or other topics. If I get paid for my work which she provides the lead, I feel I should pay her something.

I can’t find anything on the internet about this. Can you direct me or suggest a fee scale for this situation.

Thanks.

Amy, there isn’t any standard… I’d suggest something between one and ten percent of what you actually get paid as a finders fee.
