About

Anne Wayman, writer and writing coachHi, I’m Anne Wayman and I’ve been freelance writing for over thirty years. (It doesn’t seem that long!) Although it took awhile, I’ve been fully self-supporting through my freelance writing for many of those years now. I’m pleased to also report my writing income increases nicely each year, and I’mĀ getting residual income in place as well.

How I got there, how I’m staying there and how I’m increasing my income is what I want to share with you at here.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Freelance writing jobs posted 3x a week – real freelance writing, editing, blogging and translation jobs you can do at home in your PJ’s if you want.
  • Original articles by me and guests aimed at the how to write and how to make more money freelance writing.
  • My willingness to answer your questions as best I can based on my own experience – in both text and video format.
  • Reviews of products I use – I’ll tell you about the ones that make your life easier and help you make more money with your writing. I usually won’t review products I don’t use or try and decide not to use again. I may do the occasional negative review if whatever I’m reviewing is either horrid or a rip-off.
  • eBooks written by me and aimed at helping you maximize your income.
  • A supportive forum – you’ll have to register but it’s no big deal.

Goal of This Site

And that’s the goal of this site – to share at least some of what I’ve learned while I also learn from you. I want to show you how to make more money with your writing.

A Wee Bit of History on Anne Wayman

Personal computers and the ‘net have been an integral part of my freelance writing success. Back before PC referred to a Windows machine (or became part of the political landscape) I wrote technical manuals for Kaypro and third-party software manuals for a variety of publishers.

While I was writing about software I also began writing about my own expereince recovering from alcohol and drugs. Hazelden where you can still buy one of my pamphlets if you wanted to.

It was during that time that I also did my first ghostwriting job, finishing a book called What You Think Of Me Is None Of My Business by Terry Cole-Whitaker.

Life took me to the bay area where I ghostwrote, lived aboard a boat at Galilee Harbor. The online world was just beginning and I became active at The Well, probably the world’s first online community.

My first web job was writing for Match.com – I was one of their first 25 or 30 employees. I’d been on a DOS machine and had never seen a web image when they hired me.

My first grandchild was born in San Diego, Emily, and I fell in love in a way I never knew was possible, so returned to my home county.
