A Transforming Experience

by Anne Wayman

Way off the subject, or not warning!

Yesterday I attended an Awakening The Dreamer Symposium. I found the experience transforming and empowering.  These are occurring literally around the planet, with more and more people volunteering, getting trained and offering them in large and small venues.

Although not the only organization working to find ways for humans to work for a world that works for everyone, this one is well grounded and inspired by recognized experts like Lynn Twist, Thomas Berry, Daniel Quinn, Joanna Macy, Brian Swimme, Thich Nhat Hanh, Desmond Tutu  and many others.

Take a look. It may surprise you.

We ended the symposium with the following video. It’s created by the FourYearsGo. Turn up your speakers and prepare to be moved:

I’ll be blogging about the sustainability, social justice, and spirituality at: WhenGrandmotherSpeaks.com I’d be delighted to see you there too.

Anne, thanks for sharing your experience with Awakening the Dreamer and the Four Years Go project. I really like that video.

I’ve recently done several projects on environmental science textbooks, and it’s imperative that we all make strong efforts to reduce our ecological footprints and promote long-term sustainability for ecosystems, species, and natural resources.

Glad you liked it John… there’s so much to do and it seems it will take a real shift in thinking/dreaming in as many as people as possible. Glad you’re doing textbooks along that line… schools need so much!
