Ray Bradbury Writing Persistently – Videos About Writing

in Videos About Writing

In addition to listening and watching Ray Bradbury talk about how writing persistently paid off for him, there are some tips about writing here.

This is one I’ll watch more than once – how about you?

Write well and often,

Anne

Good video. Interesting that when Ray wrote “The Lake,” he wept. I call that the ‘salt water test.’ If a tale or a poem doesn’t affect the writer, it’s unlikely to touch the reader.

That video seems to be quite old. I’ve heard Ray speak several times over the years. I hope to hear him again, but each year I wonder if he’ll be there the next. He has spoken to Southwest Manuscripters about 35 times, now.

You know, I may have heard him there once… years ago when I lived in Long Beach… or maybe I didn’t but planned to go and missed… but you do bring up memories.

What an awesome video. some of my writing and ideas have come from things that I’ve been through or experienced some how. It definitely makes a difference. Thanks Anne for the great video :) .

That’s a beautiful story. Isn’t that why we probably all write? To write for us – or in essence, being true to ourselves? I think that’s one of the reasons the Creative Copy Challenge is so fun. It’s writing for the pure joy of writing.

Thanks for sharing this, Anne.
