You need an Amazon account (I have one, but have yet to order any PAID merchandise) to download the reader installer, and it downloads the e-books anywhere that you have an internet connection. They are stored on the PC in My Documents>My Kindle Content. There are also many FREE classics to download! I downloaded the reader, installed it, then downloaded Swiss Family Robinson and two other free books while I was logged in. Anne,
