Peter Bowerman who wrote and self-published The Well-Fed Writer, has this video up which tells you a bit about him and a bit of how he became successful along with some true reality comments about the process. It’s pretty static, great for listening, and worth it to. Yes, it’s also a pitch for his book, but much more than that.

Very informative interview. I’m doing my best to market my services to businesses. Some businesses are still “gun shy” about the internet. They don’t want anything to do with social media, article writing, or blog posts. It’s been a challenge.

One of the things Peter makes clear in his book on commercial writing is you can work locally if you want. Even small towns have businesses that need writing. I do most everything on the ‘net now, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Face to face can work well as well.
