in Classes for Writers

You may be vaguely aware I’m getting a video class together on How To Get Your Book Written With Vision and Spirit. It’s a longer process than I expected, but with some help I’m now making good progress.

Below is the tentative list of classes. I need your help. What’s missing? What else would you like to see in a book writing class?

  1. Intro – mostly a natter about what to expect and some tech details
  2. Vision Your Book – a nifty process
  3. Defining Your Book’s Purpose
  4. Finding Your Ideal Reader
  5. Your Working Table of Contents
  6. Getting The Writing Done – 1
  7. Making Long Manuscripts Work For You
  8. Getting The Writing Done – 2
  9. Rewriting and Editing
  10. How to Find the Right Copy Editor
  11. Final Manuscript Prep – hard copy, pdf, email, ebook
  12. From Idea To Book – The Steps in Publishing
  13. Book Proposal Or Completed Book?
  14. What About Agents?
  15. Self-Publishing

  20. Would A Writing Coach Help?
  21. What About Ghostwriting?

Will any of it branch off into the differences between getting fiction and non-fiction published? And will “steps in publishing” go over how to write a good query letter? Thanks!

Are you going to address critique partners?

I don’t know about critique partners – are you a good resource for that?
