Can you believe 2010 is in a couple of days! My perception of things speeding up may have something to do with my age. After all, when I was four years old, a year was a quarter of my lifetime. I’m a long ways from four years old!
Last year I published the first Goal Setting and Keeping; the links still work and the information is still solid.
Here are some more posts about goals, resolutions, etc:
- 2010 Writing Resolution #1: No Guilt – Deva Fagan’s first resolution is a powerful one – one I work to put into practice.
- Learn Origami - This made me chuckle. I have no idea why Sarah Salway wants to learn Origami, but I take it as a reminder that there is a great deal more to life than just writing. It’s always worthwhile, and sometimes fun, to learn something new; if it’s creative, so much the better.
- The 2010 Reading Resolutions Challenge – now why didn’t I think of this! Reading is so much a part of writing! My reading resolution for 2010 is to read at least one book on my shelves that I haven’t yet read. (Thanks to Imperfect Clarity for the pointer. Is it simply coincidental that the post is numbered 451?)
- The Definitive Guide to Sticking to Your New Year’s Resolutions – well maybe – it’s a pretty structured approach. I like his Don’t Worry So Much About Long-term Goals better.
- Setting, Keeping, and Achieving Your Writing Goals in the New Year – Carolyn Kaufman at Query Tracker tells it like it is. Excellent.
Do you have written resolutions or goals? Why?
Write well and often,
