You have the niftiest stuff here, Anne. A great idea. I do belong to a local writing workshop. It's a good one, and the best part is when people stick around and chat informally about their work and marketing and ideas for getting unstuck. I still see one of my workshop friends from the 70's for lunch the day after the meetings. I also belong to a workshop in Ojai. We critique by e-mail or in person. I like the idea of a writing accountability partner. I will post “What I’m Working On” on my blog because it serves as accountability – I feel the pressure to live up to my goals for the week if they are published on the internet.

I like this idea a lot, Anne. I belong to loose group of 6 artists in various media, we have a closed group on Livejournal, we are not there to critique each other (unless asked) but to support and hold each other accountable for making art. It works pretty well, there are only probably 3 people active at any given time, but it is enough. We post what we are working on, deadlines we have set, photos of our progress (or lack) and give each other hurrahs for meeting deadlines, and so on. We can also toss out ideas for another perspective, whihc is a great help sometimes.
I’ve never thought of doing it for my writing, but it is easy to see what a good idea it is
