Last year Liz Strauss over at Successful Blog pointed to a wonderful graphic tool called Wordle.
That’s how I generated the graphic you see here. I entered the web address (www.aboutfreelancewriting.com) for this site and Wordle built a word cloud from the RSS feed.
I then took a screen shot, pasted that into my image editor, cropped it, saved it as a .gif and here we are. Easy really.
You can fiddle with the layout and the colors and you can enter a group of words as well as a website address. It’s great fun.
BTW, if you click on the image you can see it full size.
Liz points out that these word clouds can also be used as tools and lists ways to use them in things like greeting cards, as presentation slides, etc.
Give it a try – it’s dirt simple, subtle and lots of variations are possible. Then point us at your creation.
Write well and often,

Hi Anne,
Thanks for the Wordle link. It was fun!
Here’s my take –
Dogs of Blog
How can we save it to our computer without saving it in the public gallery?
All I can say is everyday is a new experience and I learned something new today; Thanks to you Anne!!!!
What FUN!! I did it for my writing blog:
http://www.wordle.net/gallery/wrdl/720897/zebraxing.wordpress.com
It generated something I can use to advertise myself, as the words, Writing, Improve, Proofreading, and coaching . . . appear most prominently, and it’s pretty, too!
Thanks Anne!
e, the only way I know to save it is to take a screen shot… google that if you don’t know how, then put it in some sort of image software to save as a gif or jpb.
I learn from everyone else Veronica, we all do if we’re payig attention.
Paula, you changed the type… good for you… yes, it is pretty.
