I think a “per placement fee” means each article is paid if and when it is actually sold to a magazine. I.e., if you write 10 articles, but only one gets published, only one article is paid.

Thanks for all this and this site.

I think the “Writers in All Fields” posting by Alexis Tilman is a scam. I’ve seen the same copy before with a different name (and applied), and I’ve heard they request samples and then take off. That’s what I read when I Googled the name, anyway. But once again, thanks for the leads today!

I agree with Autumn – I think that job is a scam. I applied and they wanted me to write a review of a dating website. It sounded fishy to me, so I didn’t end up doing the work and giving them my sample. Please be careful if you decide to apply for this job.

Thanks for the leads – I hope you have a good Easter weekend!

It sounds so as there is a similar complaint over at FWJ too. Unfortunately I applied to one by this person before I read the comments over there as I apply for writing jobs frequently at both here (AFL) and there (FWJ.) These are my two fav. job sites as they are time savers and have great communities, info. and links. :)

Carole, thanks… sounds hard.

Re the possible scam… thanks for alerting us ladies… and keep ‘em coming… not sure how I can sort these out ahead of time without charging you all way more than you’re willing to pay.
