Watch out for the “Part-time Moderator & Marketing Associate Needed for Lunch.com” gig–I’ve answered ads for this company before, and I think it’s just a ploy to get more people joining this social networking site.
As always, great leas, Anne–thanks!
Hi Anne,
Don’t worry about #6, its legit. I blog for this company and have been working for them for about 6 months. Its called IRM consultants – they’re a PR company. I really like working for them; they pay on time and fairly well. I had a phone interview with one of the owners and a blogging ‘test’ before they officially hired me. My only compliant is I wish they had more work for me. Usually its once a month, but they’re new so I think the work will increase eventually. My blog is listed below and any work I do for them goes through my blog.
Edna’s last blog post..Flowers hint at Spring
Lot’s of good stuff today! Thanks!
Thanks Edna… I’m going to set up some sort of page where people can post positive and negative experiences with employers/publishers This is really helpful info
hemm, Katrina.. what kind of answer do you get? Some social media sites do pay moderators… don’t know which ones.
And Trisha, you’re welcome
#55 requires applicants to sign up for some pay site, where they charge nearly $50 monthly for the pleasure of glimpsing possible opportunities to blog. So I would say it’s not legit. Too bad.
Hello Anne,
#6 is legit. I work for them. They’re called IRM consultants. I write for them either on my own blogs or directly on their clients’ blogs. I write for them on a weekly basis alternating between my blogs and their house blogs: first week – myblogs; second week – clients’ blogs; and so on. They pay on time and the people I interface with are really cool.
Anyone here heard of SliceDice Marketing supposedly based in Florida? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi anne
I have a question, im not from usa so i can only work with guys that’ll pay me by internet my question is, are there any jobs i can get or is it very tricky and not recommended? should i give up my search now?

-Santi-
Santi, I paraphrased your question a bit and answered it at http://www.aboutfreelancewriting.com/2009/03/im-not-in-the-us-how-can-i-get-paid-ask-anne-the-pro-writer/
thanks!
Autumn, I agree, it’s a scam and I apologize. Peter – good to know, thanks
