I still think it is bad that Indian writers are not allowed on sites on AC, when just a few years ago I found that one writer had taken my entire profile, (yes Stacey, my entire profile, not an article, not a short, my entire profile) from a site I used to work for and put it up on AC in her name. Meh... that was a interesting email I wrote to them. And I reckon if we found out, at least 50 percent of all writing work in this world must be done by Indians. I did join Associated Content a while back, but not being a US citiizen means I'm not eligible for upfront payments, so I can't really comment on that. Wow, that is a very low offer from Associated Content. I have been writing on there for almost a year now and the lowest offer that I have received wa $3. The money with Associated Content is with the Partner Calls for Content. You need to apply to get these calls. Once you are on the list for them, you will be offered assignments based on your topics that you write on. The last partner call that I did was $25. Well, since they don’t tell you how they decide on the amount, it’s unknown. I picked the topic because I knew I could quickly generate three articles in that area so the comparison between services would be roughly apples to apples.

Frankly, I wouldn’t do this for $5 if it weren’t for the experiment. I have plenty of credits… can see how any of these can be good ways to get a few credits online…

I guess I ought to see if I can figure out what publishers do with these if anything much. But not today.

How disappointing! It’s definitely not the norm, but offers are generally low for writers new to AC. The only thing I could think of is that maybe your article topic was a bit broad? It could be that AC is already saturated with “How to be debt-free” articles. It might be a good idea to do a quick search on AC before submitting your next article. Good luck!
