Lindsay, I recognize the thinking… but a newsletter over time will make you money.

Tom, excellent idea, sorting your ezines that way. My newsletter service (http://www.aboutfreelancewriting.com/2008/12/do-writers-need-an-auto-responder/) let’s me track click throughs which gives me some idea of what’s going on.

Hi Anne, excellent post.I´m a member of many online newsletters and ezines.I took a free Gmail-account that I sign up with for these.Everyone with a blog are now realizing the benefits of having their own newsletter. It took me a long time to convince myself to start a newsletter for my site, because I tend to unsubscribe from… all of them.

I guess I’m not my own target audience, heh.

But then I don’t subscribe to blog feeds either. I really try to focus on the tasks that can actually earn me money, and I prefer to get my ideas from books rather than anything online (a habit I picked up when I was having a lot of trouble with RSI and surfing the web was painful).
