Screenwriting and script writing is a mystery to me. I’ve never tried to write one, but I know lots of freelance writers are vitally interested in the topic. So here is a selection of (mostly) blogs about screenwriting:

- Screenwriting for Hollywood - http://www.screenwritingforhollywood.com/ - several screenwriters for hire blog about their craft.
- The Artful Writer - http://artfulwriter.com/ - Craig Mazin and Ted Elliott talk about film industry issues as well as the craft of screenwriting.
- Scriptwriting in the UK - http://dannystack.blogspot.com/ a look at script writing across the pond.
I know this isn’t definitive – if you’ve got a particularly helpful blog or site about writing scripts, let me know.

One particularly good one for those interested in writing for TV is Jane Espenson’s blog at http://www.janeespenson.com/. Even though Jane’s stopped updating her blog (for the time being), there’s lots of great advice in the archives on screenwriting techniques in general and spec scripts in particular.
