We end this week with only 38 freelance writing, editing, blogging and translations jobs. I think we’re seeing the close-to-Christmas drop off I’ve been expecting. It may be that the slow-down will continue through the end of the year. We’ll have to see what actually happens.
Wouldn’t you know it? As soon as I again state my decision not to censor low paying writing gigs, one appears that’s the lowest I’ve seen so far – 50 cents for a short article! I think that’s insane and I almost didn’t publish it. But I truly don’t know if being able to pick up $5 or $10 on the fly will make a positive difference to someone. I suspect it will. So I tagged it with a low pay warning. If you decide to write for these folks I’d love to hear about your experience.

MomsLikeMe.com is seeking chatty moms to join our team of online “discussion leaders” in San Diego and San Francisco. Discussion leaders post on the website five times a week (at least) and help keep the online discussions interesting and supportive. You don’t need to be a professional writer (but that would be okay). We’re looking for moms who can write engaging posts about parenting in San Francisco and San Diego. http://sanfrancisco.momslikeme.com | http://sandiego.momslikeme.com The pay is $25 a week. Please visit the website in your city. If you like what you see email me a little about yourself. Include your blog address if you have one: jgarrett2@gannett.com

Thanks for the e-mailed job leads was muchly appreciated.
Sorry to hear you had some troubles.
Glad they’re now fixed.
Found some good leads.
Michelle Kafka’s last blog post..Who Let The Dogs Out?
Just a caution on the “Writers / Editors /Ed Assistants” ad. The site stated that writers will not be paid and submissions can be published without notification. I’ve written a letter asking for clarification. So people may want to be careful about sending samples.
Thanks so much for the job list, Anne.
Hi Anne,
I am a writer/editor and I’m new to your site and when I went to click on most of the jobs you had posted, all I got was the White Page, no connect. Does that mean the job has been filled?
Thank you, Pat
Nice Site by the way
Aysha, thanks for the heads up! I didn’t check the site… sorry about that.
You’re welcome Claudia
Patrick, I wish my site were that sophisticated… I suspect you clicked when the site was more or less in a tech void of some sort. Friday was awful! It seems to be working now… if you have trouble again please let me know.

Hi,
Great site! I was having a similar problem to the one outlined above – links not opening and resulting in blank white pages – but they are all working perfectly now. Keep up the good work
Iris
Glad it’s all working now, for both of us!
